Start bike for 2 minutes and turn off. I hold bike straight up, after it's sat 5 minutes. and fill to middle /top line in glass while holding bike straight up. If you're buying oil just get 4 qrts, just because :grin.Keep pressure on the brake lever with one hand and use the wrench to slowly loosen the bleeder with the other. Just crack the bleeder open. As the lever gets near the bar (not all the way in) close off the bleeder. Repeat until the reservoir is almost empty - you'll get into a rhythm while doing it.If you're running 7500 miles between oil changes, then it might make sense. Oil selection basically comes down to personal preference, but I went with the Amsoil product. All tests and reviews that I have read seem to put the Amsoil on top. Decide for yourself. The first step is to drop the sump and see what you broke. I don't think the oil pump drive shaft can move laterally in the oil pump housing so my guess is that you will find the oil pump mounts broken off in the engine. It does not say specifically that motorcycle oil should be used nor does it specify synthetic vs. regular. Anywhere on the window with the bike level is pretty good decent to start off, before riding the bike it needs to be at the top of the window for the most part. K6 600 ….
